Sometimes I really do feel bad for women, because the level of misogyny outside social media is alarming.
And also at the same time, I don’t pity some of them.
Don’t over step your boundaries, try respect yourself.
Note: ❌ Don’t watch if you can’t stand violence 😭💔
We didn’t end because we stopped loving each other… we ended because love alone wasn’t enough to carry us.
She was my person the one I talked to every day, the one who knew my routines, my flaws, my soft spots. At some point, she became my comfort zone. And maybe that was the problem… I got too comfortable.
I won’t lie, I wasn’t as disciplined as I should have been. I had things I needed to fix my focus, my consistency, even how I showed up for her. And while I kept telling myself “I’ll do better,” I didn’t always act fast enough.
She, on the other hand, needed more more effort, more presence, more certainty. And I understand that now.
We didn’t break up because of one big fight. It was the little things… the slow replies, the unspoken frustrations, the feeling that something wasn’t the same anymore. Those small cracks eventually became a distance we couldn’t ignore.
If she came back? I won’t pretend I wouldn’t want it. But this time, it wouldn’t just be words I’d actually fix what broke us.
For now, I’m just working on myself. Gym, discipline, getting my mind right… because whether it’s her or someone else, I know I can’t show up half-ready again.
Some people are lessons.
Some people are timing.
Some people… are both.
Day 30! And so it ends.. Ya Allah plz let this not be our last one.. I hope even you can see you’re not addicted to anything.. You’ve been able to prove to yourself you can stop doing something’s when u really put ur mind to it.. Try ur best to continue with this discipline.. e no easy but try..
My top 5 fears:
1. Being infertile
2. The day my parents pass away.
3. Marrying someone who settled for me cos they couldn't get who they truly wanted.
4. Losing my health before I get to enjoy the life I'm working so hard for.
5.Having an unsuccessful future.
‘The loneliness you currently feel while being single , is nothing compared to the loneliness you will feel when you marry the wrong person.
-Pastor Dolapo Lawal
Life changes. You lose love. You lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined would be gone. And then, without you even realizing it, these pieces come back. New love enters. Better friends come along. And a stronger, wiser you is staring back in the mirror.
I once dated someone who had this habit, whenever we had an issue, he’d just disappear. No communication, no effort to fix things. He would ignore me for as long as he felt like, and the only way we’d start talking again was if I reached out first.
But I began to notice a pattern. Every time we weren’t talking, something good would happen in my life.…new opportunities, small wins, unexpected progress. It was subtle at first, but it kept happening.
So the next time we had a problem, I decided to do something different. I didn’t text. I didn’t chase. I poured all that energy back into myself and my work instead(I had a job that kept me VERY BUSY).
And almost immediately, things started aligning again. Opportunities showed up. Doors opened. It felt really good.
A month later, he reached out….but by then, I was already in a completely different headspace. I had moved on. I had landed a better job with a better offer. In just one month of choosing myself, I had outgrown what once felt so hard to let go of.
I’m still not exactly where I want to be, but when I look back at who I was 3 years ago, this version of me would’ve felt impossible.
It really does get better.
. I will marry soft
. I will marry right
. I will marry godly
. I will marry romantic
. I will marry wealthy
. I will marry a provider
. I will marry good character
. I will thoroughly enjoy my blissful marriage
If as a woman you’re in a relationship where the man can’t provide, can’t sort your bills, can’t ease your stress… I genuinely don’t know what you’re still doing there.
Because what exactly is the benefit package? Vibes? “Potential”? Sweet words?
Some of you are in 50/50 relationships doing 90/10 effort.
If he can’t add value to your life financially, emotionally AND practically, then what’s the point?
