@stichomancery Fandom is a microcosm of a society where white supremacy is the default. If fandom doesn't like the way that sounds they need to get some self awareness and stop mirroring the worst aspects of the outside world.
@Tripolar_B I was talking to a WW and she was like it's sad that that neighborhood (mine) is a food desert. When I pointed out that we have a supermarket she was like "yeah, but who would want to shop THERE?" Excuse me?
@JacobDS96 @753_eren76137 @flatlinebetting@nicholasdeorio@CultureCrave That's a pretty big reason to put 8 at the bottom of the pile tho. What about it was so good that ruining Finn and removing him from the main plot isn't a dealbreaker?
@StarWars_Direct He's right. I don't trust anyone who didn't notice what was done to Finn in 8 or who did and didn't consider removing Finn from the main plot a dealbreaker.
@finnisajedi It's also the ugliest fight (or duel) in the franchise. It looks like a bts of the prequels but instead of a green screen it's red and they left it that way. Just because it looks nothing like anything else in the franchise to a jarring degree doesn't mean it's good
@acceber910@ungodlywests EVERY time.
How after so many years of identical posts across fandoms do fans still think these takes will put people in their place?
@Enginejason1 @TheFirstOkiro A lot of people do (especially now in retrospect), but he got a ridiculous amount of hate during the ST era, and his role as a true lead was dropped after TFA.
@Alonestarfish@TheFirstOkiro John got more hate than ANYONE in the sequels, from multiple sides, starting with the drop of the first TFA trailer. Plus his whole role was diminished when TLJ tried to make him not Force Sensitive.
