@avstorm For me - I discovered it (and I didn’t know they were celebrating an anniversary) via CarPlay. My initial impression was a bug with CarPlay or a dried-out contact lens on my screen.
To me - it seems they did not test across screens and resolutions. The details were not evident.
@karrisaarinen …what and why (and is it a problem worth solving) is the domain of Product Management. Are you advocating for Designers to be Product Managers?
….but it would discourage home improvements if the taxes keep getting re-adjusted to market value of homes and force people out of homes because they can no longer afford to live in the home and community they love?
Forcing inventory creation potentially at the trade-off of transient communities …where no-one sticks around when they retire?
@signulll In many ways it is like watching yourself in 3rd person and fills in the memory gaps of not remembering what you were like when you were a kid.
Many times where I think I probably did or reacted the same way they did when learning or experiencing something for the first time.
@signulll Note: this is about traits rather than roles. Product Manager is a HR-designed role to help companies reduce growth risks and operational risks. It never captured whether a person’s intuition on good vs. bad products.
@lennysan@bcherny “Everyone’s going to be a Product Manager” is misleading where people think that’s the role to go after.
There are many PMs with no curiosity or taste / creativity. I see it more like “Maker” or “Bullder” rather than PMs.
Does that future require “engineers” in the way they were educated before or today (comp-sci classes, mathematics, etc.)?
…if we’re acknowledging AI will be smarter than any person, then is it not some future role responsible and accountable for directing them to customer /business outcomes?
@0xgaut Engineers were always pseudo-PMs. There was always friction in what to build. However, to cross the chasm, those who aspire to PM need to focus on why we’re building it at all.
@GergelyOrosz Larger “Frankenstein” products/features if objective is to make more money …conversely, could create better and higher quality products/features if companies reduce sales & marketing expenses (that create a “feed the beast” problem).
@BenjaminDEKR It is a re-do for false expectations and confusion with Auto-Steer. Many people I’ve talked to think they’ve experienced self-driving and were unimpressed …turns out they used Auto-Steer.
I think Tesla will re-introduce as FSD Lite.
@hovah76 Nothing left for him to prove at the college level and he proved the doubters wrong.
He's exhibited character traits indicating it it is not about money for him (as you even say). Instead, showing us how to overcome adversity.
Why would he not take on the ultimate challenge?
