Printers have lost our flyers & sent me someone else’s instead! 😆 So it’s back to printing some & cutting to A5 myself! Truly “handmade” & with the help of @DAISyPCOS leader Sunila & colleague Saba we have translated these into Urdu, Punjabi & Bengali for @BirminghamMela! #PPIE
Thanks to Anoushka & Saba for joining me today, despite the weather! ☔️ We have spoken to several women (& men!) about the work we are doing and how they can get involved through The Hildas @DHLNetwork We are here until this evening & again tomorrow! Come say hi @BirminghamMela
Thanks also to Fatima for joining us on our Women’s Health Research stall this afternoon! We’ve met Sandwell councillors & lots of other interesting women! @DHLNetwork@DaisyPcos @IMSR_UoB!
Set up for day 2 and we have some sun teasing us ⛅️ Let’s hope it lasts and brighten up further for when the festival doors open! @DHLNetwork@DAISyPCOS @IMSR_UoB
Caroline @cdtgillett will be hosting a public engagement stall @BirminghamMela this weekend, where you can learn more about #PCOS & the DAISyPCOS research project. If you have #PCOS there’s still opportunity to take part in Birmingham as well as 8 other sites across the UK!
Truly honoured to have won the Herbert Reiss prize for my oral presentation @ RSM @RCObsGyn Academic Meeting 🏆
It was a great privilege to talk about race & ethnicity in global women’s health
Thank you to my supportive mentors & the organising committee for an inspiring event
We were pleased to be able to show some of the The Hildas @DHLNetwork#PPIE group around one of the @IMSR_UoB labs in Birmingham today! @Angela_E_Taylor talked about her important work using mass spectrometry on the @DAISyPCOS project!
