@daniel_berhane President Mustafa was one of the very few individual scholars who bravely spoke out and articulated many articles about the atrocities done by your evil triayant TPLF regime against Soamli people at times you were in power-Bear in mind President Mustafa is our visionary leader
Attended the book launch of “Please Give us the Corpse” (Maydka Na Siiya), a heartrending tale of one family’s ordeal in 2015 in Somali Region, written by Abdi Haybe Osman, a young survivor who witnessed the horrific killing of his brother Mustafa Haybe, the arrest and torture of his elderly father and mother, and 24 other members of his family. Three of the brothers were beaten to death in front of their father in “Jail Ogaden”, while one died later after sustaining serious spinal cord injuries due to torture.
Abdi Haybe also writes about the confiscation of 170 camels and all the prosperities of the entire extended family, and how he, as a teenage boy, disguised himself by acquiring a different name to escape persecution.
This is by no means an isolated case. With more than 50,000 cases of serious human rights violations already documented, according to the Independent Regional Truth, Reconciliation, and Justice Commission, Abdi’s story offers a glimpse into systematic and pervasive crimes committed by TPLF and its local accomplices against the people of Somali Regional State.
It is encouraging to see victims coming out to tell their stories, which will undoubtedly help in their healing process. Equally encouraging is that the famed Somali oral tradition is thankfully giving way to a more enduring writing tradition, especially by the youth.
“The Ethiopian authorities have made a significant progress in implementing fundamental macroeconomic reforms under the ECF, approved in July 2024. Economic indicators have improved markedly, with better-than-expected results for inflation, export growth, and international reserves. Sustained reform momentum is essential to consolidate recent gains and foster a more favorable environment for investment. Priorities include improving foreign exchange (FX) market functioning, boosting domestic revenues, restoring external debt sustainability, and enhancing fiscal transparency”.

Congratulations to Faafan Zone Football Team, Champions of the 2024/25 (2017 Ethiopian Calendar) Tournament. Well done to Shabelle Zone team, the runners-up of this year. Sport & entertainment are signs of a healthy and happy society. Glad to see the youth enjoying and engaging in Sports, including athletics. In addition to sports, public parks are becoming a common sight in major urban centers in Somali Region. The service sector is thriving. The recovery of our people from decades of trauma is in full swing. Eeboow Mahadaa!!!
IF an indication of anything, the so-called “a day of media campaign” by a hodgepodge of interest groups, comprised of armed ethnic extremists, known failed politicians who on the one hand preach non-violent resistance yet work hand in gloves with armed extremists, and the very same outlaws captured and pardoned just few years ago after committing treason (not to mention the human rights violations they committed against Ethiopians for 27 years while in power), is an indication of confusion and desperation! For sure, these elements cannot find a common ground for any meaningful political action. This is a coalition of haters, not a coalescing force for real political contest. They cannot achieve through media clamour what they failed to achieve through war, economic sabotage, ethnic and religious incitement, and sustained weaponized narratives of doom.

The commemoration of the 7th anniversary of the 2018 Reform is underway in different parts of Somali Region.
One of the greatest success at COP27 is that the developed countries hold their promise to deliver the agreed climate finance that can pay for adaptation, a loss and damage fund and accelerate decarbonization for the betterment of third world countries
Africa is the least contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions with less than 4% of total global emissions and yet the most adversely impacted region as a result, the COP27 Conference held last Nov in Sharm El-Sheik had issued vital climate actions to tackle this concern.
A united people & functioning state can never be intimidated by ragtag outfits like Al-Shabaab. Our gallant special forces are once again proving that the peace in the region is not at the mercy of terrorists. Lunch with the heroes who annihilated AS at Huluul, Afdheer zone.
Green legacy, preservation of indigenous forests, curtailing charcoal production/export, protecting wildlife & efficient use of rural land agreed as strategic directions for the Env’tal protection, Rural Land Mang’t & Climate Change Bureau as we wind up the end-year evaluation.
Many studies revealed Somali reg. has high potential of both in diversity and distribution of wildlife resources. As a result, we need to establish Protected areas (Parks & Caring Centers) which r important for the maintenance of biodiversity that contribute for dev't of a Nation
