Bored of tribal politics. Small state and low taxes. Does Twitter in occasional bursts then switches off. Doesn't answer abuse. RT does not nec. mean agreement.
The October 7 Nova exhibition has just announced that it is extending its run in London until July 15 due to "phenomenal demand."
That creates an additional ten days for @bbcnews and people like @MayorofLondon and @mrjamesob to ignore it completely and pretend it is not there.
An engineered by election to accommodate him.
No process to elect him party leader.
No questions allowed from journalists.
No parliamentary scrutiny until September.
Something is very, very wrong about the installation of Burnham as our PM.
Glorious to watch the same self-declared political media nodes - who were screaming about fascism when the Tories were in power - now tap dancing to justify a zero scrutiny coup because the guy also wears trainers in his fifties.
We see you.
Astonishing that Hamas say, “It’s 75k with a few thousand more missing” and there is a whole industry of people insisting, “NO HAMAS YOU’RE WRONG IT WAS 600K”.
I will never understand the thirst these people have for dead Gazans. Utterly ghoulish.
@ZackPolanski "Public ownership of what is ours". What does that even mean? You're just a random lefty soundbite generator, with absolutely no detail behind a single one of your badly thought-out proclamations.
Under his Nob of the North devolution Burnham wants to turn poverty-stricken Oldham into wealthy Weybridge.
Guarantee he will make Weybridge poverty-stricken with no discernible difference to Oldham.
@DPJHodges How will this work? Like the EU moving its Parliament between Strasbourg and Brussels? How much will it cost to run? What will civil servants be expected to do?
Sounds like very expensive posturing for absolutely no governance benefits.
The North pays next to no stamp duty, inheritance tax, capital gains tax or income tax. It does have a much higher ratio of public sector workers and unemployed immigrants on welfare. And apparently we need more money from the South to pay for more of this shit.🤮🚮
Your Council Tax bill goes up by the maximum 4.99% every single year
Meanwhile, your local library is closed, the potholes are craters, & your bins are collected half as often
You are paying a premium for services that were quietly discontinued five years ago
It is no longer a tax for local services; it is a bailout for bankrupt local authorities
Sending my condolences to France and the UK. You repeatedly condemned the IDF operations in southern Lebanon, only to find out tonight that Lebanon actually supports it to dismantle Hezbollah.
May you be spared further sorrow.
Fifty years ago today, Air France Captain Michel Bacos showed the world what true moral courage looks like.
When Flight 139 was hijacked by Palestinian and German terrorists and flown to Entebbe, the non-Jewish passengers were eventually released. Bacos and his crew were also offered their freedom.
However, Bacos, who also served in the French army under DeGaulle, refused to leave his Jewish passengers. All his crew also refused, without exception.
Instead, they chose to remain alongside the 94 Jewish hostages, fully aware of the danger they faced. As Bacos later said, abandoning his passengers was simply "unimaginable."
Days later, they were freed in the legendary Israeli rescue mission, Operation Entebbe, led by Yoni Netanyahu, who would die in the battle.
For his extraordinary courage, Bacos was honoured by both France and Israel. Yet his greatest legacy was not the medals he received, but the example he set: that decency, duty and humanity must never yield to terror or antisemitism.
Michel Bacos was a true hero. May his life, his courage and his memory forever be a blessing and an inspiration.
UN 🇺🇳 logic:
1. Before the war, there were 625,000 school children in Gaza 👇
2. Israel committed a genocide during the war
3. After the war, there are now 660,000 school children in Gaza 👇
Israel is the most incompetent genocider in history.

@KarlTurnerMP@ShabanaMahmood Here's a challenge, Karl: put details of this initiative on the leaflets for Labour's candidate in Manchester. If it's that popular, she'll walk it.
