The most important skill a software developer (and possibly just anybody) is how to convey technical topics with plain english. Make things simple to understand folks.
(A lot of folks in tech can’t really do this, and they see their career stuck)

You can get all of these right and I, your friendly client side dev, can still bring the application to its knees. Nearly all of bundle size is node modules, we’ve got to rethink perf.

@Zizzamia Oh wow, good stuff! It seems like I have the same conclusions about where to add the performance.mark calls on a React component then. The first paint is pretty neat, shame that we still have to rely on setTimeout to reliably get the next event loop :(
