Our extracorporeal blood purification team has been busy! 4 dogs ate lethal doses of anti-inflammatory drugs, carprofen & naproxen. Hemoperfusion prevented major organ damage/prolonged illness. Thanks #dialysis4pets team members working overtime!

We met Kaz 7/1/2024, kidneys failing from antifreeze toxicity. 3 mo of dialysis (5hr drive q3 days), Kaz's strong spirit to live & dad’s dedication despite long odds, made today possible. Kaz celebrated his 4th birthday & lives each day to the fullest

Kaz did it!! Antifreeze couldn’t stop his kidneys! He beat the <10% odds of graduating after 32 dialysis treatments over 106 days. Living a full life between treatments with his devoted pet parent. Full team effort from #dialysis4pets #vetneph #cornellvet

Sweet 2 yr old Zoey came to the @cornellvet Extracorporeal Blood Purification Unit from 5 hours away for life saving therapeutic plasma exchange(TPE) for her severe Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia(IMHA). TPE removed antibodies attacking her blood cells!
