also I went with goggles instead of a face shield because it's better protection. if the hazard is potentially in the air all around you, it makes sense to leave fewer gaps.

seeing the COVID precautions that shitheads whined about Olympics workers taking inspired me to actually look into whether face shields are a good idea and as it turns out, yes. it is possible to be exposed to the virus through your eyes. so eye protection is helpful.

we know at this point that SARS-CoV-2 spreads both by respiratory droplets and airborne transmission, so in workplace safety terms it makes sense to think of it like any other biological aerosol, such as mold. that calls for respiratory and eye protection.
