NEW: In an interview with @ssnyderinq, Penn president J. Larry Jameson commented on Penn's decision last summer to ban trans women from women's sports amid pressure from the Trump administration:
“It was a compromise. We went back and forth a lot with them."
Jameson also noted it was "strange" that Penn was targeted for the prior participation of a trans athlete:
“To me, this is like a small town changes the speed limit, and they decide it used to be 40 and we’re going to change it to 30. They looked back and said, well, you were going 40 miles an hour and you should have known we were going to lower it.”
