Attention GM: Major Issues with My 2024 GMC Sierra 1500**
I bought a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 just 2 months ago, and it’s been a nightmare. My vehicle has run out of oil twice already. I work remotely and rely on my truck for safety, especially during emergencies like the recent forest fires.
I traveled from Calgary to my remote location in northern Alberta. When I got to the site, I checked the oil and it wasn’t even touching the low mark on the dipstick. I had to put 4 liters in, having only driven 1200 km since the last oil consumption test. Now GM wants me to start the oil consumption test over because I had to add oil during an evacuation alert. This is absolutely disheartening. I spent $90k on a vehicle I believed in and trusted, and now this has put a sour taste in my mouth. I can’t be going back and forth 2 hours at a time during work hours. My vehicle is loaded up with tools, and this is unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from GM because this is absolutely bullshit.
GM, I feel utterly let down.** This is not the support I expected from a brand I’ve been loyal to my whole life. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, please share your stories. We need to hold GM accountable.
