Years ago, LeBron James was called the GOAT on live TV… then Shaquille O’Neal shut the debate down with one question.

On First Take, Ryan Hollins argued that LeBron James is the greatest player ever, saying neither Michael Jordan nor Kobe Bryant could fill LeBron’s shoes because of the impact he’s had across different teammates and organizations.

Shaq wasn’t convinced.

He pointed to Jordan’s perfect 6-0 NBA Finals record, while LeBron’s Finals record became the center of the debate.

Max Kellerman fired back, arguing Jordan never had to face a team like the Kevin Durant-era Golden State Warriors.

That opened the floodgates.

Shaq insisted the Warriors wouldn’t survive against the physical Bulls of the ‘90s, arguing today’s game was played under much softer rules.

He also defended the defensive intensity of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Ron Harper, saying they’d have no problem competing in any era.
