Despite inaccurate and sensationalistic reporting, it’s important for residents to know the facts. There will be an election this November 2025 with ballot issues and an additional election in 2026 where public officials will be elected. The general election has been moved to 2026 and the 2025 general election has become by definition a special election in 2025. No election has been cancelled. In fact, one has been added. There is no provision in the City of Miami City Code or Charter that authorizes the cancellation of an election. State law permits the moving of an election as the City of Miami is doing. State law also permits the governor to postpone an election during a declared state of emergency. In both instances it is not a cancellation but rather a moving of the election date. #cityofmiami #residentsfirst #elections #factsonly
Florida isn’t where they want to be at 6-5, but man when you watch the tape they are playing like their hair is on fire for Billy Napier right now. DJ Lagway is the QB of the future and back to back upsets against ranked LSU and #9 Ole Miss shows there is no quit in these Gators.
Update: The dog rescued by @FHPTampa is safe and receiving care. Troopers brought him to a vet, where he was examined for injuries and received a clean bill of health.
Thank you, @FHPTampa.
It is cruel for anyone to leave a dog tied to a post in the middle of an oncoming storm. FL will hold anyone who mistreats pets accountable.
After 30 years @FlaPanthers are the true example of patience, passion and perseverance. Bottom line hard work pays off. Whoever didn’t believe in the Panthers, I bet they do now. It’s no longer a dream. Live it, enjoy it, get off the chain and that’s how you make history, Dale!
More than a landmark.
Century Tower was built in memory of students and alumni who died in service. This #MemorialDay and every day, we remember and honor them. 🇺🇸
There's nothing comical about calling out the blatant disregard for ethics in our City government. I stand by my statement and believe that our residents deserve leadership that is present and serving them exclusively. #WeDeserveBetter

When Joe Carollo was ordered to pay more than $60 million in damages for violating the civil rights of two Little Havana business owners, no City Commissioners spoke out, and no City Commissioners stood by the residents. I stood on the side of the residents. Sabina Covo did not.
