Doctor will order a tests, get the results indicating that further diagnosis has to be done based on lab findings but guess what? He ends there and gives you prescriptions that will not help you in a long run..weeks after ur running back to the hospital with similar complaints.

Just this year, I’ve reeducated at least two doctors in Cameroon on how to order tests for diagnoses and most of them know this already but laxity have caught up with them so negligence becomes normalized.

I can’t count the number of courses I take yearly for employee continuous assessment. Because you graduated and got a job doesn’t mean learning stops there…our healthcare system in Cameroon need to come up with courses for continuous assessment for employees which will keep them up to date with their practice.

Cameroon health system really need to do better and it should start by including these courses in the students curriculum…I understand it’s more notes but if you can’t get the principles, then you’re not qualified…we don’t need robots in the health care system..we need dedicated scientists.
