long time no see but i still love my stoma💕 every single doc is trying to convince me to get it reversed since i’m so young but fuck that. my rectal stump is causing issues sometimes, so i don’t wanna risk life going back to how it was before
almost 4 months into ileostomy life and i love it.
i just came home from rehab that basically was useless but i start my new job on the 1st, i‘m meeting a long distance friend👀 soon, and in general everything’s better!!
surgery gave me my life back.
before i went to bed i googled how people prevent blowouts etc. just out of curiosity.
guess what happened that same night🥲
even though i got it all over my wound and spent an hour cleaning up, it’s so much better than shitting yourself
3 weeks post op today, cut is healing nicely but still not well enough to pull the stitch out.
stoma does good, has a little wound(?) from one of the stitches opening too soon but over all healing good.
oh and i am WEAK like tf?
waiting for my stoma nurse to get here. i’m kinda nervous idk why, we’re just gonna practice and she’s gonna look at my wound. my dressing has been changed everyday this week, everyone wants to poke around in it😫😫😫😭
i cried on the drive home today because for the first time in forever i didn’t have to scan the streets for bathrooms, i didn’t have to hold back until im all cramped up, i didn’t have to have a panic attack. i just sat and drove home.
