@mikemearls Maybe implement stuff like shield bash using the concept of “special abilities you can add to your turn” but which have a limited resource pool. Like you can add a shield bash to your turn a number of times pegged to a stat, then need a rest to recharge.

@mikemearls Yeah, it also makes it really difficult to explain dual wielding to a new player. I do think things would be better if the system was reworked to not include bonus actions. Then again, there’s some I really live and make sense such as shield bashing using the feat. (1/2)
