The Kwa Kitoi Dam in Matungulu East Ward is strengthening irrigation farming by providing a reliable water source that enables farmers to undertake farming activities throughout the year. By supporting agriculture, the dam is increasing food production, improving household incomes, and creating employment opportunities. Through this investment, we are realizing our vision of Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni, by empowering farmers, boosting agricultural productivity, and driving sustainable economic growth across Machakos County.
Concluded the Matungulu East Ward Development Tour by inspecting the ongoing grading and murraming works on the Kalala–Kanzalu Road, a key road project that will enhance connectivity, improve access to markets, schools, health facilities, and other essential services while easing the movement of people and goods and opening up greater economic opportunities for the surrounding areas.
Later, I held a public engagement at Katwanyaa Market, where I updated residents on the projects we have implemented, those currently ongoing, and those planned, while also listening to their views and priorities. We remain committed to delivering development that transforms lives.
When I assumed office, the kitchen at Machakos County Referral Hospital was in a poor state and inadequately equipped to effectively serve patients and staff.
I have today commissioned modern kitchen equipment that has transformed the facility into a fully equipped unit capable of preparing and serving meals to over 1,000 people daily. This major upgrade will enhance food safety standards, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen nutrition services for patients, staff, and caregivers.
The transformation reflects our continued commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring dignity, quality care, and better services for the people of Machakos County.

The director of Movata Designs, Maureen Mwende Mutua, visited my residence today accompanied by her parents to discuss on her payments.
We had an open and productive conversation, and I want to assure the public that Movata Designs will be paid as per the procedures in accordance with the established procedures. This ensures that all payments are handled transparently, fairly, and in line with the law.
Maureen, my dear, all will be well. Mama is proud of your courage and maturity to resolve this matter amicably.
Mukuyuni and Kilala thank you for the love.

As Christians around the world mark Palm Sunday, we also draw closer to the culmination of the Lenten season, a sacred period of reflection, prayer, and renewal.
May this moment remind us of the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem and inspire us to embrace humility, compassion, and service to one another as we begin Holy Week.
Blessed Palm Sunday to you all.
My administration is driven to build a healthcare system that meets the needs of all residents in Machakos. By equipping our medical teams with modern tools and providing them with the necessary training, we are ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and timely care.
This deliberate investment strengthens services, lowers treatment costs, and ultimately saves lives while fostering partnerships that improve health outcomes across the county.
