Someone else must have had this idea already, but say, slack gets in to the mastodon space (as a premium option for, ooo, $8 a month) and provides you with a section of federated mastodon channels
I mean, most of the existing mechanisms would work, e.g. you add someone to one of your mastodon channels by @ mentioning their mastodon name, I don't underestimate the eng work to achieve this, but how often to opportunities like this come along?
@ReddyJaySekhar Wow - thanks for the vote of confidence Jay. Feel free to give people the code THANKYOUJAY or https://t.co/TxkFuvuIS7 to anyone who wants to give part 1 a try for free - and if it's good, consider buying the other parts?

End of an era. We were a few episodes behind but just listened to the very last episode of the Roadhouse Podcast. Thanks to @LostAirman for all the work choosing some of the best blues I ever heard over the past 17 years, and now we have to find something else for pizza making
And this came just a couple of weeks after Steve Wright announced he would not be doing the big show on radio 2 any more. Man - 2022 - the blows keep coming...
@tracyquinn@cquinn The phone one was when it rang during recording, and he threw the phone out into the living room at your house. Nicki said something like "Did dad just throw the phone out of the office?"
@kevinb9n If I remember correctly, that same night that I first met Carl at the party was the same night @tornorbye got a whole jug of ice-water thrown down his back by a clumsy waiter...
@kevinb9n That was more than 16 years ago now, I was still living near Atlanta, we used to do podcasts in the evenings and it was very late for me because of the time difference
