Reviewing fractions today with a game of “Play or Pass” using our new @goPEEQ Qball! The special texture of the ball allows us to throw, bounce, or toss it to a peer, and allows them state their answer into the ball’s microphone. Super cool and so engaging! 🤓⛹🏻‍♀️⛹🏾‍♂️@CISWildcats

More practice with adding positive and negative integers! We used number lines, playing cards, and other manipulatives to show integers and their solutions in relation to the number line. @CISWildcats #prealgebra

Who will win?! Today we are playing a game of “Life” to see if we have to pay bills, get a new roof, or get a bonus at work. Everyone starts with $1,000. Students have to subtract/add with positive and negative amounts of money. They didn’t want to stop playing! @CISWildcats

Sometimes we have to forget the standards, the testing, and the stress. Kids need our support personally, as well. It can be so hard to find time. This is one thing I try and do as I get opportunities. You’d be amazed how much they open up, and how much they need our support. 💗

You’re never too old to play with Hot Wheels! Today, we investigated the formulas for distance, speed, and time by calculating five trials with Hot Wheels cars. They LOVED it! 🏎🕓@CISWildcats

Today we are completing a hands-on activity to make a potentially difficult concept MUCH easier! We knocked out independent and dependent variables by using a foldable on graphs, tables, and in equations. I love hearing “Now I get it!” Hands-on math for the win! 👏🏼@CISWildcats
