To be clear: it was not the Rada, this was not good tsar, bad boyars – it was Zelensky and Yermak who organized this and pushed it through. Orders came from the office of the president last night and the law enforcement committee passed it early morning in such great haste that members had to join over video. Then MPs in Zelensky's ruling factions were told the boss was watching closely how they voted, so most fell in line; they were joined by former pro-Russian party MPs and Tymoshenko's party, as well as a few outliers from other opposition parties.

Мені, як ветерану важливо, щоб мою ініціативу підтримали насамперед прості небайдужі громадяни. Тому прошу політичні партії та діячів утриматися від підтримки цієї акції. Тому давайте домовимося, що акція пройде без символіки та спікерів, яким хочеться висловити свої думки.

Як ви знаєте, сьогодні Верховна рада проголосувала за зміни, що ліквідують незалежність антикорупційної системи. Нардепи вирішили, що НАБУ і САП мають бути підпорядковані генпрокурору. Тому беріть картонки від коробок та робіть плакати, де пишіть все, що думаєте з приводу наступу на антикорупційну систему протягом останнього часу.

Зараз уже запустили петиції до Президента з вимогою ветувати цю дичину. Але поки ці петиції будуть затверджені – він може підписати цей законопроєкт. Тому часу в нас немає. Треба виходити сьогодні й вимагати у Зеленського не допустити повернення в часи Януковича. Тож до зустрічі ввечері.

I believe this is the first viral public call for an antigovernment protest in Kyiv since the start of Russia's full-scale war. And it's from a soldier: "Friends, let's gather for the action and defend what we've built over the last decade. We're meeting at 20:00 on the square near the Ivan Franko Theater. It's the closest available place to the President's Office. So, I hope we'll be visible from their windows."
