বিপ্লবী ক্ষুদিরাম বসুর প্রয়াণ দিবসে জানাই সশ্রদ্ধ প্রণাম।
একটা কথা লিখি। সম্প্রতি একটি হিন্দি ছবিতে বিপ্লবী ক্ষুদিরামকে 'সিং' বলা হয়েছে। স্বাধীনতার জন্য যাঁরা জীবন দিয়েছেন তাঁদের অপমান করা হচ্ছে কেন? পথিকৃৎ অমর বিপ্লবী ক্ষুদিরামকে ধরেও টানাটানি করবে ভাষা-সন্ত্রাসীরা?
আমাদের মেদিনীপুরের অদম্য কিশোরকে দেখানো হয়েছে পাঞ্জাবের ছেলে হিসেবে। অসহ্য!
আমরা কিন্তু সবসময় দেশপ্রেম ও সর্বোচ্চ আত্মত্যাগের প্রতীক এই মানুষটিকে শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়েছি।
ক্ষুদিরাম বসুর জন্মস্মৃতি বিজড়িত মহাবনী ও সংলগ্ন অঞ্চলের আরো বেশি উন্নয়নের জন্য মহাবনী ডেভেলপমেন্ট অথরিটি করেছি।
এছাড়া মহাবনীতে শহীদ ক্ষুদিরামের মূর্তি স্থাপন থেকে শুরু করে পাঠাগার সংস্কার, নতুন একটি সুবিশাল অডিটোরিয়াম, কনফারেন্স রুম - সবই করা হয়েছে। একটি মুক্তমঞ্চও করা হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য নির্মিত হয়েছে আধুনিক কটেজ, ঐতিহ্যবাহী ক্ষুদিরাম পার্কের পুনরুজ্জীবন করা হয়েছে। পুরো এলাকাটাকে আলো দিয়ে সাজানোও হয়েছে।
শুধু তাঁর জন্মস্থান মেদিনীপুরেই নয়, এই মহান বিপ্লবীকে শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে কলকাতায় একটি মেট্রো স্টেশনের নামও আমরা ওনার নামে রেখেছি। আমরা গর্বিত।

Today, as I walked alongside thousands in the Bhasha Andolan rally in Jhargram, I was reminded once again that Bengal has always stood tall as the cradle of India’s intellectual, cultural, and spiritual resurgence. From leading the national freedom movement to shaping the Indian Renaissance, Bengal has never faltered in the face of adversity. This is the land of Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekananda, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a land that celebrates diversity, knowledge, and human dignity.
Yet today, the Bangla-birodhi Zamindars of BJP are attempting to erase our identity, insult our language, and wage a war on Bengalis across the country. In their ignorance and arrogance, they have dared to label Bangla as "Bangladeshi." Legitimate Indian citizens from Bengal are being subjected to inhumane treatment in BJP-ruled states, detained, harassed, even deported, simply for speaking Bangla with pride. NRC notices are being indiscriminately served to Bengalis, and through Special Intensive Revision, they are attempting to disenfranchise lakhs of genuine voters.
We will never allow the constitutional rights of our people to be trampled upon. We will never allow the soil, soul, or speech of Bengal to be disrespected. History bears witness that Bengal has always risen in resistance against tyrants. And I stand with my people as their watchful guardian ready to go to any length to protect their dignity, their rights, and their future. Bengal will never bow. Bengal will never break.

See now how Delhi police under the direct control of Ministry of Home, Government of India is describing Bengali as " Bangladeshi" language!
Bengali, our mother tongue, the language of Rabindranath Tagore and Swami Vivekananda, the language in which our National Anthem and the National Song (the latter by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay) are written, the language in which crores of Indians speak and write, the language which is sanctified and recognised by the Constitution of India, is now described as a Bangladeshi language!!
Scandalous, insulting, anti- national, unconstitutional!!
This insults all Bengali-speaking people of India. They cannot use this kind of language which degrades and debases us all.
We urge immediate strongest possible protests from all against the anti-Bengali Government of India who are using such anti-Constitutional language to insult and humiliate the Bengali- speaking people of India

I wrote to Hon’ble PM @narendramodi highlighting the devastation caused by the release of 5 lakh cusecs of water from DVC-controlled dams – a scale hitherto unwitnessed.
This MAN-MADE flood, the worst we have witnessed in the lower Damodar since 2009, has severely impacted over 5 million people in Bengal.
Despite repeated warnings, the Centre has ignored the technical, mechanical and managerial failures plaguing DVC. If this gross negligence continues, Bengal will be forced to sever ties with DVC!
