Lets keep this simple.

If masked civilians violently jumped out of a car and ripped open Renee Nicole Good’s door, the law would recognize her right to self-defense.

If civilians did the same thing to a law enforcement officer or ICE agent, it would be classified as a credible threat and the officer would be legally justified in responding with force.

That tells you everything you need to know.

This is not a moral distinction.
It is a legal asymmetry.

Political conditioning, tribalism and confirmation bias blur this reality, but the fact remains: Badges do not grant extra rights.

Uniforms do not grant ethical immunity.
They do not justify double standards.

"Following orders" is a legal defense, not a moral one.

You don't get to create the danger, escalate the danger, be the danger and then claim self‑defense.

That logic is not rational. It is not consistent.
And it certainly isn’t legal for civilians.

When law enforcement is given extra rights, extra protections, and extra moral allowances, the outcome is inevitable:

More conflict.
More division.
Erosion of public trust.
The slow death of the American dream.

The government’s stated purpose is public service, not the normalization of fear, sanctioned violence, or unequal application of the law.
