It is truly shameful and disheartening that while many countries are investing in artificial intelligence, teaching children emerging technologies, taking students on excursions to innovation hubs like Silicon Valley, and preparing them for the future, in my own country, schoolchildren in Edo State are reportedly being taken on excursions to see a flyover.
This raises a very important question: Are we really preparing the leaders of tomorrow to lead tomorrow, or are the leaders of today failing to prepare them for the future?
In today’s world, a flyover should not be treated as a tourist attraction. Good roads and basic infrastructure are the responsibility of every government—they are essential public services, not extraordinary achievements.
It is painful that we have become so accustomed to poor governance that the construction of basic infrastructure is now celebrated as though it is a rare privilege. Our children deserve exposure to innovation, science, technology, artificial intelligence, and the skills that will prepare them to compete in the global economy—not excursions that lower their expectations of what government should deliver.
We must do better as citizens. We must continue to demand accountability and good governance because good governance is not a privilege—it is our right.
Justice can never be cracked.
The children of Gonzaga Jesuit college Okija, Anambra state, won 8 Gold medals at the STEM Olympiad in Rome as well. Gold na water.
WOW! WOW! WOW! 🤩💪👏👏
Team GJC won Gold in the Engineering and Technology (Bridge Building Challenge) at the STEM Olympiad Grand Finale in Rome, Italy. We are incredibly proud of this remarkable feat and the way they represented Gonzaga Jesuit College and Nigeria on the world stage.
Congratulations.
There is an agency in Nigeria that recently received almost ₦98 billion in budgetary allocation through the Ministry of Information—the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
The primary responsibility of the @NOA_Nigeria is to communicate government policies, educate the public, promote national values, and foster unity among Nigerians.
With the 2027 general election approaching, this is exactly the time the agency should be carrying out nationwide voter education and civic sensitization. They should be on television, radio, social media, billboards, and in communities, helping Nigerians understand the electoral process and restoring public confidence in our democracy.
Many of us grew up watching programmes like Baba Alajo, Binta and Friends, and other television dramas. During commercial breaks, the National Orientation Agency regularly aired messages that promoted patriotism, good citizenship, and national values. Those messages helped shape the minds of many Nigerians.
Today, however, the agency seems largely absent from public discourse despite receiving significant public funding.
This is a call to the Director-General @LanreIssaOnilu of the National Orientation Agency: Nigerians deserve to see the impact of the resources allocated to your agency. This is the time to educate, orient, and mobilize citizens—not to remain silent.
If the agency fails to carry out its mandate, Nigerians have every right to ask questions and demand accountability.
The recently exposed fake Nigerian presidential agency received a ₦1.3 billion allocation in the Nigerian national budget, a budget that included financing from the @WorldBankGroup. We are now reviewing whether U.S.-linked World Bank and other international funding may have been received by or benefited the alleged fake agency.
The individual arrested in connection with the alleged fake agency has accused senior Nigerian government officials, including Femi #Gbajabiamila (@femigbaja), President #Tinubu's Chief of Staff, of being a key figure in the alleged scheme and of requesting a total of ₦600 million in kickbacks.
The @realDonaldTrump Administration and Congress have been collecting information concerning alleged efforts by President Tinubu's (@officialABAT) government, its associates within @inecnigeria, the Nigerian #judiciary, and non-governmental actors to rig the upcoming election. We are now officially lobbying for the investigation to be expanded to include a possible conspiracy by senior members of the #Tinubu government to defraud the United States by participating in a scheme to illegally obtain or divert U.S.-linked funding.

This man walked into a Nigerian restaurant in Texas, met with the owner (Tola), saw multiple whyte people inside eating Semo and Egusi and then ordered goat meat pepper soup and vegetable soup/pounded yam with beef and fish. Sat down and ate everything there on the table😂🥘

To all MTN Nigeria @MTNNG subscribers. Before you read this post, Dail *305# on your line to see where MTN has secretly placed you.
Early this morning i discovered that MTN Nigeria is secretly subscribing their customers to things they never applied for, and they are doing it in the middle of the night when their customers are less active with their phones. The worst part of it is that, they set all these dubious subscriptions on auto renewal every midnight when you are fast asleep or less active with your phone. They will be deducting money every midnight from your account, without you even noticing. They are taking this advantage because they know Nigerians don't read messages from telecommunication companies. We just ignore, cancel, delete, or swipe without paying true attention to details, so they are capitalizing on that. They also know customers will not notice their tricks easily.
On the 23rd of june 2026, at about 12:01 am, MTN Nigeria @MTNNG sent me a message without me even noticing. The message reads "Dear customer, you have successfully subscribed to MEGA WINS - SLOT DAILY and NO deduction from your account. Your service will be renewed on 24/06/2026/ 00:01"
On the 24th of June 2026, at about 12:06 am, MTN Nigeria sent me a message, but this time i noticed it because of something. The message reads "Dear customer, your subscription to MEGA WINS - SLOT DAILY has been renewed successfully and 100 Naira deducted from your account. This service will expire and auto renew on 25/06/2026/ 00:06"
MTN Nigeria, i did not subscribe to MEGA WINS - SLOT DAILY, I have never subscribed, i can never subscribe, and i will never subscribe to MEGA WINS - SLOT DAILY. Surprisingly you people intentionally stole my 100 naira from my account, which cost me a 4 billion naira property business deal that i was supposed to seal. I woke up by midnight to call my client based on the appointment i had, but was shocked to notice that my credit has been dubiously deducted without my consent. I couldn't make the call, i couldn't reach the client, so i lost the business. But i must see to the end of this secret thievery.

For those that will say 100 naira is too small or nothing to complain about, listen to this.
MTN has 96.4 million active subscribers in Nigeria. If they should
successfully pull this secret midnight subscription scam with daily auto renewal on just 2 million of their subscribers for 30 days, it's a whooping 6 billion naira in illegal returns. If they do it for 12 months, it's a massive 72 billion naira in illegal returns.
