@option_andy You seem like someone that I’d enjoy a beer with. We’d probably wildly disagree over most things, but it’d be interesting at least.
Unfortunately I have to clock off, but I’ll follow you and might get to chat again sometime.
@option_andy@rebeccaradfor15@JoeBiden This sounds amazing. So who are the unlucky 1%? How much is a reasonable amount for the govt to annually spend in a $23tn economy?
@GordyPls TBF, those can all be examples of loss of power, Gordy.
He clearly has fallen from his stratospheric narcissistic high, so hardly surprising he’s feeling lost. I hope he pulls himself back together (for the better), but stays the fuck away from politics and policy.
@smid00771 @blardyslartfast@cscviews I heard he quit the role because he felt it was unethical to be raking it in for basically nothing. Also it wasn't doing much for his brand, I suspect.
@essentialideas@cathywilcox1 We think we’re being smart or cheeky doing this, but often they’re not actually selling, they’re harvesting. Collecting personal information from unwitting people by just asking questions (or even simply hearing you answer the phone with your name).
@karenpiersontlc@RealMarkLatham If you paid any attention in school, you’d know that anecdotal accounts don’t mean a great deal, nor extrapolating from a sample size of one school to across an entire state, nor (as bloke who should know better Latham) attributing a national figure to a single state.
@bastardsheep @danilic @MatthewBevan I dunno, coal running cost is very high, and think of all the stops to refuel. A small modular reactor would be much better.
