The coalition didn't give itself enough time to become the dominant authority in our government.
It takes SIX YEARS. That's THREE ELECTION CYCLES to do that.
The coalition hardly survived one.
"Right now"
The logic behind this choice holds no water under the most basic of scrutiny, so the only option I have left is to call it a tantrum.
You've been spun into a frenzy by someone who is making money to piss you off. In that, I tip my hat to Fuentes.
I don't want you to walk away from this dialogue thinking I hate you. I don't. I empathize with you far too much to ever hold you in a negative space.
What I, and the great masses who wanted the myriad of promises sold to us by the GOP, demand from you and your faction is simple.
Find whoever it is.
Don't wait for him (assuming it will be a dude) to "appear". Seek him out. Build him up and show us that this future of suffering isn't a pointless, slow death of America.
MAGA is going to take some time to grieve, Winter. You're going to feel isolated, or you will isolate yourself with that Block function due to the painful death MAGA experienced because of people like Nick.
When the day comes that we've dried our eyes and had some time to piece together what the path forward for the American right wing may look like, will you be there?
There it is. "Right now".
The primary election season happened hot on the heels of Trump sealing the border and almost a dozen conflicts across the globe coming to an end by Trump's negotiating skills, and Charlie's death.
All of the GOP Senators (except Collins) that weren't fully onboard with the SAVE Act l ost their seats. The shots across the bow were fired. MAGA would not be ignored this time.
Unfortunately for MAGA, the establishment GOP decided it would retaliate against us by doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the remainder of the legislative term.
Instead of following through on our primary choices to actually put those people in their seats, the electorate was cowed and decided to become accelerationists.
This isn't a "just vote harder", Winter.
I'm holding a mirror to your face and telling you that you're no different than the Boomers you purport to oppose. Impulsive, self-serving, and inconsistent.
The culture war and America's future isn't a game to be won in a single election cycle. It takes decades to undo the damage and re-establish the principles that made America the dominant force in the world.
But because people who share the values you hold today couldn't have their complete victory RIGHT NOW instead of understanding the timeline, you sold out your neighbors, communities, and descendents (should you have any) to the communists.
The plan was in motion, Winter. The neocon holdouts were destroyed in the primaries and SHOULD have been seated in January with Thune not being re-elected as Majority Leader. All of those hundreds of bills would have begun to flow like water through a burst dam.
This plan to make everyone's lives so incomprehensibly awful to MAYBE find a Galactic Mecha Hitler sounds great to those who can't see 2nd and 3rd order effects.
But what happened last night sealed America's fate. There are now enough state legislatures that will be held by the Communists to sign the National Popular Vote Compact, forever removing the electoral power of the less populous states.
The right wing no longer HAS a path to power via the ballot box if the Democrats follow through on their stated platform.
We're fucked because there are enough hypocrites harping on the Boomers for their greed, but are making the EXACT SAME short term decisions.
You're not wrong to be pissed about how the establishment GOP fought against the dying of their faction, how they held up the Epstein Files, how we got tied up in Iran, and how the subversive communists aren't swinging from trees or deported. I UNDERSTAND your rage.
What I don't get is how ANY of this is supposed to bear fruit? Communists were elected. They won, and I put the blame on John Thune and Nick Fuentes.
What capitulation to Israel?
You're identifying your preferred conclusion and then looking for any justification you can to support it.
The conspiracy was an elaborate play on emotions and Marj got caught in the net, then expanded it.
If possible, disprove Trump's assessment of you.
Calling a coward as such is perfectly fair. She gave up on her voting power that my fellow Georgians entrusted to her and decided to go on a warpath against the very man who would lead to her being elected in the first place.
It's okay to be wrong.
It's okay to change your mind.
But to knife the guy that's developing US interests abroad while he trusts the legislature to deal with the domestic ones... it's awfully traitorous.
The price of crude has continued to fall, precipitously, over the past few months.
By your logic: gas should be a lot cheaper than it is, back towards that $2/gallon range.
So why isn't it?
Lack of refinement OR deliberate price gouging by oil companies. I'm willing to believe a blended cause on that front, but this line about how the war in Iran is the sole cause of high gas prices doesn't hold water under scrutiny.
True, but this absolutely was.
This midterm was easily in the bag for the GOP when you consider that America First candidates wiped the floor with establishment, John Thune/McConnell gargoyles in the primaries.
The entire agenda that was held up by the Senate would have started moving because Thune would NOT have been re-selected as Majority Leader.
Instead of pushing that idea, the rhetoric vacuum left by Charlie Kirk's public murder was filled with voices that were chanting "Israel, Israel, Israel" and espousing the fall of Trump because he wasn't Galactic Hitler.
Defeat was surgically extracted from the American people by embittered ghouls that struggle to see cause and effect beyond what the Zuckerborg algorithm feeds them.
@thhtthh1@FmrRepMTG Market speculators drove up the price, and LACK OF REFINEMENT got the double-tap on gas prices. We have THE ENTIRE WESTERN HEMISPHERE supplying crude oil.
Try again.
I need you, or one of the other cultists who agree with you, to explain how TRUMP did that?
It was Trump facilitating peace agreements across the globe, left and right.
It was Trump that realigned the world's energy demands to the Western hemisphere, and then became the de facto executive of those energy reserves.
It was Trump who secured trillions in foreign investment into America to re-develop pur manufacturing base so we would never be dependent on a foreign nation's products.
It was Trump that got NATO to start paying (more) of their fair share of the expenses.
It was Trump that decided to greenlight DOGE that would eventually lead to the dissolution of USAID.
I'm not sure if you've ever watched Survivor, but there's a strategy to create and maintain a larger threat than you in the eye's of your chief adversaries so you don't become a target. That's Israel in the Middle East, and Trump cut off US-funding to them, too.
America First WON in the primaries, and then y'all fucked it by being impatient piss-babies, like the Boomer generation you claim to despise, because you couldn't wait for the America First candidates YOU VOTED FOR to be sworn in.
Commenting to add: "Prediction Markets" need to be banned. People had a financial interest in selling out America, and I hope it was worth the $23 bucks you made.
@Wileybot2004@GenZpolitico Historically observed, there's an 80% chance they do. (Source: Steven Crowder)
Charlie was assassinated and the people who supported it are rewarded. Expect more of that, sadly.
Iran is the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, they're linked to MULTIPLE attempted assassination attempts on Trump, and they've threatened on more than one occasion to choke off the world's oil supply if they don't get their way.
No, fuck 'em.
With the Epstein Files, I want you to think. Dig deep down.
Do you genuinely believe that the truth of that hasn't been obfuscated, muddled, and edited into oblivion? We WILL NEVER KNOW, regardless of how bad we want to, the totality of what happened there.
You aren't ready for the fight you've advocated to have.
