What's next for the Assassin's Creed franchise? Here are my thoughts: 🔥

✅️ AC Shadows: Every month one story pack and one Helix pack will be released until March 2025, which is the final month of Year 1 of Shadows. One or two collaborations in the coming months with Attack on Titan and other games. More Animus Projects with Legacy Outfits. New parkour updates will arrive before the end of this year, and some gameplay improvements will be added depending on community feedback. The 2nd DLC might be released around March or April. Whether there will be a continuation of Shadows after Year 1 will mainly depend on player and community feedback on the two DLCs and other post-launch features, as Ubisoft already mentioned it in the Reddit AMA.

✅️ AC Mirage: A new Assassin's Creed Mirage DLC will be released this year with some new gameplay improvements. We might get more information about the DLC on October 5, which is the 2nd anniversary of the game. The rumored release window for the DLC is between October and November.

✅️ AC Black Flag Remake: According to recent leaks and rumors, the Black Flag Remake might be released in early 2026, possibly in March. But it could also be delayed to late 2026 if development is not completed in time. I think Ubisoft will not shadow-drop it, they will do proper pre-order marketing with 4 to 5 months of time before release. So an announcement is coming very soon (maybe after the Mirage DLC campaign is over) if it is really releasing in early 2026. But there is another Ubisoft game, Prince of Persia Remake, which is also rumored to release by March 2026. In that case, I don’t think they will release two big games in the same month or with only a 1-month gap. One game will be delayed.

✅️ AC Invictus: It is the multiplayer Assassin’s Creed game after a long time. Recently Ubisoft posted many job openings for different roles for this project, which means development is going well. According to previous leaks, this game is scheduled to release nearly the same time or within 2 to 3 months of AC Black Flag Remake. So it will also be released in 2026.

✅️ AC Jade: It is the next RPG game set in Ancient China but only for mobile devices. We haven’t seen any news about it for nearly 2 years. I also asked Tom Henderson about it, but he couldn’t get any info on this project either. I think this project is on hold for some reasons. One reason could be they are planning to port the game to PC and consoles. This game is jointly made by Tencent and Ubisoft. Recently, many big mobile games have launched on both mobile and other platforms. If that is the case, then it might take some more time. It is also rumored to be released in 2026.

✅️ AC Hexe: It is the 2nd most anticipated AC game in the community after the Black Flag Remake, and for many people, they want Hexe even more than the BF Remake. But we might have to wait longer for it. The problem is there are already 2 to 3 Assassin's Creed games and some DLCs rumored to release in 2026 along with other Ubisoft games, so there will be no room for Hexe. Every game needs some months to sell well. Hexe was previously scheduled to release in November 2026, but that was if Shadows released in November 2024. Now, because of Shadows’ delay, other AC games will be delayed too. Ubisoft also mentioned they are now focusing on quality. It doesn’t matter if it is delayed, they want to launch the game in its best state. I think Hexe will be released in early 2027. Another AC game is also rumored to be releasing in 2027, which could be an AC1 Remake.

✅️ AC Nebula/Scarlet: This is the next big RPG game set in the Aztec Empire, India, and the Mediterranean. I think this game will be released sometime in 2028.

🔴 Note: The Ubisoft & Tencent deal is finally done, and they can announce some future projects on Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry from October 1st. Let’s see when they reveal more.
