@theblueground Over the past months, I have been trying to resolve a very disappointing issue with Blueground.
This case involves a student who came to Spain for an exchange program after making a significant financial effort to pursue this opportunity. At the end of the tenancy, the security deposit was due to be returned.
Instead, the proposal received was:
• €500 to be paid immediately.
• €2,500 to be paid in 2027.
• €2,500 to be paid in 2028.
In other words, a student who invested substantial personal and family resources to study abroad is now being asked to wait years to recover money that should have been returned at the end of the lease.
I understand that companies may face operational or financial challenges. However, asking a customer to finance the repayment of their own security deposit over several years is, in my opinion, neither reasonable nor consistent with the standards expected from a global company.
I am sharing this experience in the hope that Blueground will reconsider its position and reach a fair and timely resolution.
If anyone has experienced a similar situation with Blueground, I would appreciate hearing how it was resolved.
I sincerely hope Blueground chooses to do the right thing and resolve this matter fairly, promptly, and with the respect every customer deserves.
