The 2027 MetroWest YMCA Boston Marathon team. Getting ready for another long winter of training. Glad to run again with Paul and Adam, great to meet the new runners. Stay tuned!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Yesterday, Vogalonga, 30km on rowing boats!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

@pickover Oh no, this is supposed to mean mixed fractions, so LHR is 2 + 2/3. That's so wrong. 🤦

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

What a day at the 2026 Boston Marathon! Together we did it: we raised more than 93,000$ for the kids and families at the Metrowest YMCA. Thank you all for your support!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Honored to meet a living piece of women's and sport history: Bobbi Gibb, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, 60 years ago. Back in 1966, the longest sanctioned race for female athletes for 1.5 miles due to supposed physiological differences.

The weather will be warmer soon, but in the meantime one can train with snow-shoes. Only a few weeks to race day. Let's celebrate together: music with @newtalians tomorrow (Saturday 7th) 8pm at Village Social Club in Brookline.

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Let's do it for them! Your donations support the early education programs at @metrowestymca. I went to meet them and we read the story of Strega Nona. We have almost reached our $10,000 goal. You can help at https://t.co/qu02YraCBF

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Yesterday no running due to the storm, so I dug a maze in the backyard. Does this count as a cross-training workout? We are only a few hundred dollars from our $10,000 goal for @metrowestymca. Donate at the link in bio!

The cold weather brings surprises every time. Crystal Lake is frozen solid and you can run around or on it!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Today felt almost tropical: sunny, no wind, above freezing, passable sidewalks. This is what counts as a "perfect day for a run" in this area. Behind me, the lake covered in snow is really gorgeous.

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Congratulations to our friend, Alvin, who won free pizza delivery from Pini Pizzeria tomorrow on Super Bowl!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

On my way to the gym, first steps on untouched snow. The weather won't stop the team's training: today, 12 miles on a treadmill! And remember there's time until 4pm to win pizza delivery for the Super Bowl from Pini's Pizzeria. Any donation to MetroWest YMCA is a chance to win!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Thanks to our sponsors Markettiamo and Pini's Pizzeria, we have almost reached our goal of $10,000 to help @metrowestymca. Remember that any donation from now to Saturday, 4pm, is a chance to win free pizza delivery for Superbowl.

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Hi friends, today the team program called for a 14-mile run. Given the poor condition of sidewalks in the Boston area, I did it on a treadmill. What better way to spend two hours than watching the most hilarious soapbox car crashes? 🙂

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

It may be hard to believe, but a marathon takes place every year in Antarctica. Today, in Boston, the temperature plunged to around 0°F (-17°C). Running outside felt less like training and more like an expedition.

Huge congrats to Chris K, who won the beautiful gift basket offered by Markettiamo, your Italian market and deli in Newton Center. All your generous donations will go a long way toward supporting the programs at the Metrowest YMCA. Happy holidays and see you soon!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

This is (part of) the amazing team that will run the 130th Boston Marathon for the Metrowest YMCA. Last year, the team raised almost 100,000$ ($97,742). Can we do better this year? We still have tickets for the raffle at https://t.co/4J9oUGW6cr and all donations will be matched!

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

5 miles done, 565 to go. Great morning training with the Marathon Coalition. We still have tickets for the raffle. $10 for a gorgeous gift basket full of Italian treats (worth $200). Big thanks to our sponsor, Market-Tiamo in Newton Center.

[Diego Puppin @diegoppp]

Our sponsor, Markettiamo, is preparing a gorgeous Italian gift basket (valued at $200) overflowing with holiday-worthy goodies. This basket will be raffled among all donations received in the next two weeks. See: https://t.co/uY47kBNW43
