@SomethingClassc I mean about $85 million worth of tickets saw it. Spending almost $140 million (about $260 million today) on a Final Fantasy movie that had absolutely nothing Final Fantasy in it is probably one of the dumbest things Square has ever done. Damn near killed the entire company.
@jackcalifano Album revenue is basically non existent for artists now compared to 15 years ago. A tour is the most money they can hope to make from an album era so they gota squeeze all they can out of it.
@iTorresVT@ZeusArcade Enix actually saved Squaresoft financially. They were in a lot of financial trouble thanks to the massive amount of money invested in the film studio & the idiotic choice of Spirits Within. I think that became the downfall of peak Squaresoft.
@itsguigoney She explained this in her court testimony. She started speaking up against the conservatorship and wanted more of her autonomy back. This was evident from the Glory era. And because of it, she was punished and forced into a facility for months and was drugged etc.
@Honos305@haleyngreen___ An easy one would’ve been to run an ad speaking about how you stand for all Americans rights no matter what group they might belong to and then speak about the actual rights Republicans had already and were going to take away with Project 2025.
@TheDavidVinc Don’t worry, with the price of consoles and games going the way they are now, we’re all just going to be playing the backlog and buying a new game once every couple months. Upgrading to the next gen only at the mid-end of that cycle.
