@SomethingClassc I mean about $85 million worth of tickets saw it. Spending almost $140 million (about $260 million today) on a Final Fantasy movie that had absolutely nothing Final Fantasy in it is probably one of the dumbest things Square has ever done. Damn near killed the entire company.

@jackcalifano Album revenue is basically non existent for artists now compared to 15 years ago. A tour is the most money they can hope to make from an album era so they gota squeeze all they can out of it.

@iTorresVT @ZeusArcade Enix actually saved Squaresoft financially. They were in a lot of financial trouble thanks to the massive amount of money invested in the film studio & the idiotic choice of Spirits Within. I think that became the downfall of peak Squaresoft.

@TheDavidVinc Don’t worry, with the price of consoles and games going the way they are now, we’re all just going to be playing the backlog and buying a new game once every couple months. Upgrading to the next gen only at the mid-end of that cycle.
