JYP banned all his employees from entertaining clients at 'room salons'.
Foreigners might think, "What's the big deal?"

This decision means that JYP is willing to accept the risk of not receiving favorable articles or promotional coverage from journalists about JYP artists.

South Korea is a country where 460 million dollars are spent annually at room salons using 'corporate cards'.

Most major companies in Korea meet clients in room salons, where women sit next to them, pour drinks, and even prostitution occurs. They exchange important confidential information there.

Of course, female employees are excluded from these meetings, which results in many women being overlooked for promotions.
You can say 'men's childish cartel'.

JYP said, "Seven years ago, I found myself sitting in a room salon under the pretense of networking, and I felt so pathetic that I decided to stop going to such places altogether." He advised his artists to "focus on improving your skills before trying to build a network."

JYP has consistently expressed in the media that he opposes his employees visiting room salons, even if it means the company grows slowly or even fails.

I don't agree with all his values, but considering that he runs a business targeted at a young fanbase, I believe this is an ethical decision.

His face may not be attractive,
but his mindset is admirable.

Yes the KDA's are a real Award Ceremony in South Korea and yes winners are awarded a physical award, they even have a Daesang they award each year. Here is what the trophy looks like given to Kim Bum in 2022 for Best Male Actor Award.
