@BBCRadioScot Starting in 1994 here in the US, sports channel ESPN put out Jock Jams & Jock Rock- songs mixed with sports announcer's tag lines & team themes. So it's gotta be Queen's "We are the Champions" from volume 1
@BBCRadioScot@Nicola_Meighan I always thought The Pretenders were "going to use my sausage" in Brass in Pocket. Made as much sense to me as "going to use my sidestep". π€£π€£
@BBCRadioScot THANK YOU! I've been having a Brian moment - signing a song & not knowing what it was -Rose Royce's "Wishing on a Star" I knew I could count on you!!
@BBCRadioScot These would definitely work on me - The Real Thing's "You to Me are Everything", Lou Rawls' "You'll Never Find.." Norah Jones "Turn Me On", Abba's "Lay All Your Love on Me", BeeGee's "More than a Woman", KD Lang's "Constant Craving", Ed Sheeran's "Perfect".
@BBCRadioScot Been watching The Last Kingdom to catch up on my British history - would you accept Stan for Aethelstan? π€£ Anything by Stan Getz would work !
@BBCRadioScot For Aunt Maxine-Get right back to where we started from by Maxine Knightingale; Aunt Kay-I'll take you home again Kathleen by Bing Crosby (or the Platters); Aunt Nancy-anything by Heart. And Bob really is my uncle!
@BBCRadioScot Filed under "advice I wish I'd taken" from John Cougar Mellencamp's Jack & Diane. "Hold on to 16 for as long as you can, changes come around real soon, makes us women & men"
@BBCRadioScot "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" - Walk off the Earth. Not always a fan of Dylan singing, but what a song writer! Did love the Dylan you played earlier - he's hit or miss π€£
@BBCRadioScot On my last junior high school band trip, the only cassette we had was Def Leppard Pyromania - my fav was "High & Dry". I also remember listening to the top 40 radio show and they introduced a new artist who's name I could never remember - the song was "Borderline"
@BBCRadioScot I'm not usually lucky enough to be close enough to catch anything from the stage, but once I got a guitar pick from Enuff Z'nuff. Since I don't know any of their songs, how about Gin Blossom's "Found Out About You" since that is who they opened for & who I was there to see.
