Iโm so proud of what we made. Thank you to everyone I knew at HiRez & the ability to work on games I loved.
Iโm looking forward to new opportunities to bring my skills as a game designer or CM to a new project and bring even more joy to players.

I'm kinda rambling, I don't know really what to say other that express how I feel. Thanks for making this game so fun to work on, and helping Paladins keep on keeping on for as long as it has! I hope you all enjoy Paladins for as long as you can and that Nyx made ya'll happy!
Hey #paladinsgame fans, I know I stopped posting here after some difficulties at Hi-Rez, and I'm afraid I'm not coming back with good news. Unfortunately I've been hit in the layoffs today at Hi-Rez, and wanted to share my appreciation to ya'll for making Paladins such a fun run.
Making Nyx was an eye opening experience, and watching her hit the scene was so crazy fun! The community made making Paladins so enjoyable, and watching everyone react to the patch notes and my crazy changes was incredibly fun!
Designing for Paladins was truly difficult but fulfilling. The amount of knobs to turn when tackling design made it really intense and tough - but made when everything went right such a joy.
New to Paladins? Coming back after a break?
We've put together a New & Returning Player Guide to help you understand the basics of the game & queue with confidence into your next match!

Random shoutout to all the #paladinsgame content creators - was watching some YouTube the other day and ya'lls videos give excellent insight into the POV of a player. From balance to bugs its immensely helpful - so keep making that content! ๐
When I saw Ramattra my first reaction was oh shit that's sick! Followed by oh shit we're gonna get some flack lmao. It really is a small world and parallel innovation is very real.
This is really fascinating!
My guess would be it's more likely just an interesting example of "parallel innovation/ideation" as new hero development for any game takes ages and the Paladins team puts out cool stuff on the regular anyway.
I was literally in the living room watching the trailer while Steve was getting ready for work and just was like, "Oh boy..." lol ๐ Experiencing the inside as a first time dev is very interesting
People are forgetting that Ramattra released like what, 1-2 months ago?
Nyx has been in development for ALL OF 2022. Including her kit. Her being a ripoff is not even possible. It doesn't take 1-2 months to fully develop and animate a character. That's way too fast smh
@AlandreaRogers If we could concept, design, model, texture, animate etc a character ALL in two months we'd be the most insanely powerful studio on the planet. This is a funny look at how similar ideas can bloom in completely separate environments (which is kinda cool tbh)
@jade_the_shade9 I love it! While making Nyx there was a fair chunk of fighting game inspiration and you nailed the look. Makes me all bubbly inside ๐คฉ. Love the intros!
But regardless congrats to the OW devs for making such a kick ass character. As we can tell, I love me some big purple punch creatures so I'm glad the agenda is spreading lmao.
Like I've seen it mentioned a few times, but by the time the trailer dropped for Ramattra Nyx was already done. Especially with our team size, those last two months were exclusively balance / bug fixes.
So a fun thing about just, well making games in general I guess, is seeing the abominations that appear when a placeholder is used. I present to you my child, Peep! Peep do many thing, like scar minds. Can you guess the placeholder rig it's using?
