ML Manchanda was the director of the All India Radio station in Patiala, Punjab. As the chief engineer of the station, he was one of the responsible decision-makers for the broadcast of various programs from the radio station.

Khalistani terr0rists demanded that no Hindi show should be run from the radio station in Punjab. They demanded that the media adhere to a code of conduct, which included broadcasting in the local language of Punjabi rather than Hindi.

To impose this demand, the Babbar Khalsa group abducted ML Manchanda who was then the director of All India Radio’s Patiala station on 18th May 1992. The terrorists continued their demand and did not agree to release Manchanda until the demand gets fulfilled.

ML Manchanda was first sh0t dead and later beh3aded. His beh3aded dead body was leftnear Rajpura in the Patiala district of Punjab while his severed head was left in a busy traffic intersection in Ambala – a town in Haryana situated close to the Punjab border. His body was identified by the OM tattoo on his hand that was seen on the torso.

The head was stitched up with the torso at Rajpura Mortuary, and the body was handed over to the family after an autopsy.

The kidnappers threatened to send one arm of Manchanda to the Tribune office and another to the office of Punjabi news­paper Ajit. The government of India did not agree to the demand of the terrorists. Thus, these terrorists killed ML Manchanda.

Khalistani Terr0rists Gurdial Singh Babbar, Amrik Singh Kauli, and other radical Khalistanis of the Kauli group were involved in this.

For decades, India’s self-appointed human-rights industry found endless compassion for Yasin Malik and almost none for Sarla Bhat. You won't even know about her, in all probability, unless your Google her name.

Jammu and Kashmir's State Investigation Agency's chargesheet now names Malik as the mastermind behind the abduction, rape, torture and murder of the 27-year-old Kashmiri Hindu nurse. Investigators say the allegation that she was a police informer was a fabricated excuse for a premeditated assassination.

Salra Bhat's bullet-riddled body was dumped on a roadside. Allegations of torture and sexual assault followed. Her family says that after performing her last rites, their home was attacked and a mob descended on the cremation ground when they returned to collect her ashes.

This was never merely one murder. It was terror designed to break an entire community, frighten Kashmiri Pandits into abandoning their homeland and ensure that even their dead were denied dignity.

Justice after 36 years is painfully late. But the greater obscenity is that those accused of engineering this terror were sanitised for decades as “separatists”, photographed with ex-prime ministers and marketed to India as voices of peace.

Chhattisgarh Congress MLA from Bindranawagarh, Janak Ram Dhruw, wrote a letter to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai seeking reconsideration of the land allotment for the proposed MLA Colony in Nakti village, Raipur.

📌 The MLA said that despite opposition from villagers, the administration is clearing the land, causing resentment among people.

80+ houses of poor people demolished for MLA colony in Nakti, Raipur.

30+ houses were built under PM Awas Yojana which were now labelled illegal by authorities.

Many people had sold their lands, jewelleries to built those houses which were now in pieces only.

Authorities had allocated them some temporary stay after destroying their houses completely.

If those houses were illegal, what were the authorities doing when they were allocating funds and houses under government schemes there earlier?
