@Gomufra Townfall is proving to me that a lot of people, despite throwing around ‘media literacy’, aren’t very sensitive to what makes for great storytelling. You just know re-use certain beats and aesthetics and people will think ‘good enough!’

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@alan19847 @EvanMcFarlane This was prevalent. SNL had a skit on British Parliament where they had Will Ferrel keep taking the floor and going “Can we not agree that Oasis is the greatest band since the Beatles?!”

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@NietszcheanLib @CeodeDionis Ehhhh, it didn’t start this way, but Gomorra absolutely ended with this glamorized, romanticized ending for two rather heinous Camorra gangsters and that was one of the bigger shows in Italy. Sorta like how GoT began vs how it ended.

@relionwastaken You know how pigs can transmit viruses to humans?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@soapyciri I love this fucking game

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@faggoatquixote @tbel_janitor @kt4me I think somewhere in Corinthians he goes something like: "hey guys, listen, marriage is alriiiiiight, but really you should try to marry yourself to Christ"

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@laze91 @UnpluggedRetro Right, like, that enemy type is stifling innovation.

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@SuperTiso @AnxiousNeck Actually, LOST at least knows how to fill the time

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@SuperTiso @AnxiousNeck OMG the story: “Systemic violence should be paid for by sacrificing an individual who ultimately is not in control of that system” So little to the story b/c its actually about systemic violence they had to be vague about it until the last episode like a season of LOST

@nitzukai @iomancer Jesus you *still* need to know both SwiftUI and AppKit to get anything done on macOS?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@crypsis000 Didn’t Euthyphro cross him up?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@lucky_strikes_x @crypsis000 You know this

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@ImperialGen11 @bhangbhangducx So, dialectical thinking?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@ectoterrestria1 @reset_by_peer He executed Mao’s lead scientist on behalf of Meng though, no?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@ilikeadamsmith Alan Moore seemed to understand her role as that’s what she was in his League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (which also got a bad live adaptation)

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@ThornyVixen_ @bpoilspilll @ilikeadamsmith What do you mean?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@YourMovieFix94 People responding by repeating plot and doing the writers’ job of presenting a compelling story. The point of “show, don’t tell” is to force artists to spell the difference between plot and storytelling. Shows having post-ep pods makes this worse b/c blanks get filled in

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@knx333 @NicholasCraven_ How does Carribean Spanish fit here?

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@cruelechoes @Forbiddentwo2 Now that Sweden has passed its “we’ll deport you any non-swede who makes an ethnic Swede unhappy” law it’ll be a new day for governance discourse in the States where we can get off that Nordic tip

[Non Descript @diffrinse]

@NEEMOAHTOAD It slowed down the game even more to use it for anything more than a hint that something was near. If they’d just removed the time wasting tuning to each monster and just let you press Left and Right it’d be better. Best would be 2 modes of it and scan mode can pan 360
