“Lit up like a firefly just to feel the living night”
There’s a certain feeling of incredible awe I get while chasing that’s difficult to truly capture! This edit partially does it justice, but nothing will truly capture it. You just have to be there.
Anyone ever seen interstate-induced clouds before? Low level CU developed perfectly along major interstates around Houston this morning. Kind of shocking to see such perfectly lined up clouds. #txwx
Incredible mothership supercell last night near Centerville, South Dakota!
Some of the best structure I’ve ever seen and had a tornado to top it off.

@CackalackyChasr@CameronJNixon This looks like one continuous vortex to me with a kink at the point of contact with the cloud base at that spot. I could be wrong, but I have seen video of something similar that occurred somewhere in Wisconsin, I believe. Wish I could find a link.
@sdantwx@CameronJNixon Agreed. Though the new meso looked impressive with SVC pretty evident along its inflow seeming to draw in from the northward moving cell to its east. The old meso is what produced, at least initially.
@JessicaMooreWx I can't really complain too much. We were on Katy from the beginning, saw a nice tube near Felt, and then Leoti. Not too bad for only two weeks out. One of our Danish friends was out another week and saw tubes all those days following. 🙂
@JessicaMooreWx I cherish this day as well. Letting was the last day of a pretty successful chasecation that year for me. Yes, that's right. I had to go home right before Didge City and all the other great days surrounding. 😭😆
