Land Rover began producing Fire Appliances in 1951 and continued to do so until they ceased production of the Defender model in 2016 (the new Defender is too costly to be a replacement). With many older Land Rover vehicles being retired from service the number still on the run is falling. This 2005 Defender 130 still operates as a Line Rescue Unit with @ClevelandFB

Since 1971 @ClevelandFB have been using white fronted livery on their fire appliances. The service also remains one of only two in the UK retaining the name Fire Brigade (rather than Fire & Rescue Service). Four of their trucks are shown from a visit earlier this year.
