@ChristianLempa RHEL pays the bills for me as I support it at work, but at home I use Debian and Ubuntu.
Rocky was growing on me though, so hopefully they can come up with a plan.
@ChristianLempa Ansible and Terraform have had my attention for a while now. I use both to deploy and configure LXC and KVM VM’s into my Proxmox Cluster. I really want to dive into Kubernetes at some point but as I admin Openshift all day it’s not as exciting to me to get that done yet lol.
@ChristianLempa 3 node Proxmox cluster using some Dell Inspiron desktops that I got a great deal on. Upgraded the memory in each node, Core i5 12400/64gb of RAM. Also run two older Dell SFF 9020 desktops, one is a dedicated docker host running Debian, the other Arch linux.
@ChristianLempa Christian, I agree with a lot of the points you made. I was probably the .001% that actually read the privacy statement and what they collect etc and ultimately decided it was not for me at this time.
That said however, it has potential and I look forward to see what they do.
@ChristianLempa I’ve toyed with the idea of using something like phpipam, but is too heavy for my needs and not easy to setup and maintain. I only have a few devices that use static IP’s anyhow, so I use a table on a dedicated Bookstack page alongside the rest of my lab docs.
@LinuxHandbook The year was 1997, I was 22. I had purchased a book from someone I served in the military with and installed slackware from a cd in the back of it. We have come a long way since then.
