The Chairman of the Somali Scholars Council, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Salad, has announced a large public demonstration scheduled to take place tomorrow in the capital, Mogadishu, in protest against what he described as Israeli interference in Somalia’s sovereignty.

My dear Somalilanders, for too long we have been the best of neighbours the kind who occasionally resort to a good old-fashioned brawl.

Let's combine our two great regions into a new nation, one so impressive the Americans will have no choice but to recognize it. Together, we'll command over 90% of the Red Sea and Indian Ocean coasts, not to mention a monopoly on oil and mineral wealth. Our new, unified country will share the longest border with Ethiopia, our greatest trading partner.

And for the grand finale, we will at long last put an end to the Sool and Sanaag question. Our new country shall be named Land of Punt our historic name. The new capital will be the great city of Bosaso, formerly known as Las Anod. This decision, I must admit, is the result of a slight technical error it seems ChatGPT put the dot in the wrong place on our new map. It’s simply easier to move the capital than to correct the map. The original Bosaso will be renamed Bosaso 2.
