Happy Monday!
Since no one asked, here is hands down still one of my favourite internet rabbit holes after many years:
Fantastic 'I Can't Believe it's Not Butter' margarine knock offs.
Starting with a classic, if rather Yoda like, one:
@rusticfem https://t.co/tVQP8mZYzW the second part of this is a microcosm of this. It would personally upend the peace and families of so many white women's lives to change their views or be open about their views. "It's too exhausting to keep explaining myself"
Or, if you prefer, "I am a full product engineer."
And this ^^^ is what we should all be trending towards. The days when you could put up your hands and protest, "I'm just a backend engineer. Get someone else to write those five lines of javascript" -- are ending.
I am an extremely literal person, and literally speaking, nobody can be a "full stack" engineer. The idea is a ridiculous one. There's too much stack!
But that's not what people mean when they say it. They mean, "I'm not just a frontend or backend engineer. I span boundaries."
@kempton_timothy@DeltaDad_Matt This whole thread says more to me about perceptions of outdated relationship roles than it does what love actually does to a person. Not to mention, it's pretty easy for someone without egg-driven fertility slowly expiring to be saying with their chest list this lol
