Following the viral video, a Post Office Inspector visited Jara Jibli in Dharchula, Pithoragarh. What he found confirmed every allegation. Sacks full of undelivered mail were discovered stacked inside the postwoman’s room.

Locals had been raising the issue for months. The inspection has now put it on record.

Action is awaited.

Major Gaurav Arya is an Indian citizen and India is a sovereign country. Iran does not get to ‘warn’ India into taking action against Indians for speech it dislikes. If anything he said violates Indian law, Indian institutions will handle it. That decision is not outsourced to foreign governments or religious sensitivities. India is not the Gulf where clerics, Islamic pressure, and foreign intelligence agencies from fellow Muslim countries decide what citizens and expats in those countries can say. You do not get to export blasphemy-style intimidation into a democracy. I may or may not agree with Arya’s views, but I fully support his right to speak freely unless an Indian court says otherwise. India is not anyone’s religious sphere of influence. A large Muslim population in India is not an invitation for Islamic regimes to bully Indians or dictate our freedoms.

I strongly urge the Government of India not to let draconian external powers with no credibility use India’s growing Muslim demographics as a point of leverage to intimidate, blackmail, threaten Indians, or police speech here. It is a dangerous path to enter, and there is no turning back.

When she confronted him, he claimed that she had proposed to him first, which she clearly denies. What kind of logic is this? Even if she had proposed him (which is highly unlikely), she is a teenager and you are an older man, the responsibility to behave appropriately is on you, not her. You should have told her no and, if needed, informed the Dean.

And what’s with proposing back in a live class? Though I’m sure he’s lying. Maybe he thought this filmy stunt would work for his perversions, that students would clap and the girl would come running to him. Psycho. He should be barred from teaching forever.
