My wife and I had only been married for eight months.
Suddenly, I landed in the hospital unexpectedly.
Appendix rupture.
Emergency surgery.
The bills were rising faster than my strength.
One night around 2am.
I woke up thirsty and saw her sleeping awkwardly on a plastic chair beside my bed.
Still wearing her office clothes.
One hand holding my hospital file.
The other holding prayer beads loosely in her sleep.
I remember staring at her and realizing love looks very different when life becomes uncomfortable.
Not Instagram love.
Not soft-life captions.
Just somebody refusing to leave your side while machines beep all night.
The next morning.
I overheard one nurse asking her if she wanted to go home and rest.
She smiled and said.
“If he wakes up scared and I’m not here.
It will break him.”
I cried quietly facing the wall after she left to buy food.
Some people become peace itself in human form.
So I went to court today to get a BVN affidavit because I lost the SIM card linked to my bank account and needed to change the phone number.
There were a lot of people there, and after standing and waiting for several hours, it finally got to my turn. Suddenly, a woman tried to jump ahead of me and asked if I wasn't supposed to let her go first because she was older than me.
I told her I had come early and waited for my turn because I wanted to finish quickly. I also told her that if she wanted to be attended to earlier, she should have come earlier.
That was when she started saying I had no home training and that my parents didn't raise me well. I wasn't having any of that, so I stood my ground, completed what I came for, and left.
It’s been 29 days since 42 students were abducted from Mussa Primary and Junior Day Secondary School in Askira-Uba, Borno State. For 28 days, their parents (and all parents) have lived in fear, uncertainty, and anguish. The gov’t just reintegrated terrorists in the same state!
It’s 28 days since Borno kids were kidnapped.

Those children would have cried and cried and cried. Prayed, prayed and prayed! It’s haunting! This is about to be their 27th night as captives of terrorists. Rain is falling, the nights are cold. A child amongst them has died from the harsh conditions. They witnessed a beheading and a shooting. The trauma of it all! 😭😭
These are the names of some of the children kidnapped in Borno state on Friday 15th May 2026. We don’t even still have their complete names. But at least we have someone. Immortalize their names and ingrain their names in the minds of the people.
You cannot rehabilitate a person that beheads a person.
You cannot rehabilitate someone that offs people for sport.
You cannot rehabilitate someone that kidnaps and rapes children.
Wtf is this barbaric video I just watched💔
The value of a Nigerian life means nothing
to this government. What is the value of
our armed forces if they cannot protect
citizens from these terror. But if they sight
civilians wearing camouflage, all their
powers will become active.
