During the session on "Strategies for Macroeconomic Resilience," Dr. Mathias Karangwa, Director of the Research Department at @CentralBankRw, presented his paper, "Foreign Aid and Tax Revenue Mobilization in Sub-Saharan Africa: Evidence from a Dynamic Panel Threshold Model."

The study explored practical pathways for strengthening domestic revenue mobilization systems as a foundation for sustainable development and long term macroeconomic stability.

In his keynote address, titled "𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬", Professor Christopher Adams of @The_IGC highlighted that, "As monetary frameworks in many lower income countries evolve, the coordination between fiscal and monetary policy is becoming more complex and more consequential.

As central banks in low income countries evolve and strengthen their monetary policy frameworks, the question of efficient burden sharing becomes particularly important, as poor policy coordination can exert a drag on investment, competitiveness and growth."
