Story from one of the most famous brands in India, Maruti Suzuki. This is how dealers play these dirty tactics!

I wanted to share my recent experience with a Maruti Suzuki NEXA dealer and get your advice on how to handle this.

When we booked our **Maruti Suzuki Fronx**, there was a **₹10,000 consumer offer** running. We had clearly informed them that we’d be taking insurance from outside, and they agreed at that time. We paid **₹5,000 initially** and another **₹95,000** a few days later after they said they would bill the vehicle and that the consumer offer would still be applicable.

However, during our **PDI on 1st November 2025**, they suddenly changed their statement, saying the **consumer offer will only be provided if we take insurance from them**. This was never mentioned earlier, and it feels completely misleading.

Their insurance representative also made a few questionable claims:
- That if we take insurance from outside, **Maruti Suzuki will not repair the car or provide cashless claims** — which doesn’t seem true, as our insurer (**HDFC ERGO**) has all major Maruti workshops in its cashless network.
- They said that insurance companies like **HDFC ERGO and ICICI Lombard come under Policybazaar**, which sounds misleading.
- When we asked for the **₹32,000 insurance quotation breakup**, they refused to share it.

All this feels non-transparent and unfair. We’ve already **signed the loan documents**, the **disbursement is pending**, and **our first EMI is due on 25th November 2025**, so these last-minute changes are putting us under unnecessary pressure.

PETROL + ETHANOL + WATER!!!

As the discussion on Ethanol mixed petrol or the E20 fuel is raging in the country, a petrol bunk in Hyderabad took it to the next level!

They even added water to the petrol 🤯

Mahesh, a resident of Hyderabad got petrol filled in his Brezza car at the HPCL bank in the Sheriguda area last night

Today, his car broke down and the mechanic told him that there was more water than petrol in his vehicle

Angry Mahesh came back to the petrol bunk and got fuel filled in a bottle to demonstrate the amount of loot!

But again this could probably be Ethanol mixed petrol only.

The ethanol in petrol is actually hygroscopic. It readily absorbs moisture from the atmosphere. As in it will create water from the atmospheric moisture. So we never know if this bunk is adding water or more ethanol 🤷🏽‍♀️

Do you know Petrol in India is far more expensive than other nations in the subcontinent? And your vehicles can be permanently damaged by Ethanol mixed petrol?
