A few days ago, this video went viral, showing speed breakers on NH-25. People naturally assumed that locals had installed them, because who else would? After all, speed breakers are illegal on highways.

Today, NHAI issued a "clarification" that they only had installed them at the "request" (read: political lobbying or pressure) of a local public representative, and that these are not speed breakers but rumble strips. Lol!

The way these people think the aam janta of this country has no brains of their own is unbelievable!

अमित मालवीय मान रहे हैं कि सरकारी कंपनियों के पेट्रोल पम्प पर मिलावटी तेल मिलता है। मिलावटी मतलब इथेनॉल ब्लेंड में ऊपर से कुछ और मिला हुआ।

जब सरकार मान नहीं रही कि इंजन E20 तेल से खराब होता है, और यह मान रही है कि तेल ही खराब डाला जा रहा है, तो समझ जाइए कि सरकार स्वयं पेट्रोल में जल मिलाने को प्रमोट कर रही है।

ध्यान रहे कि यह सरकार का दायित्व है कि वो मिलावटी पेट्रोल बेचने वालों को पकड़ें। पर जब सरकार स्वयं 20% मिला रही है, पुराने टैंक में ही नमी खींचने वाले ब्लैंड फ्यूल रखवा देती है तो पम्प वाले थोड़ा जल मिला ही दें तो क्या हो जाएगा!

Mr. Naik, I served in the Govt for 35 years and I know about these transitional clauses. Have drafted them myself many a time.
Even the Bill is yet to become Act, and you are confidently predicting it will be modified because of NEP. NEP very much existed on 13.01.2026 when they made these Regulations.
Batana hai to pura batao - that you are only speculating that Regulations will be changed at some unknown point in future. If they are that sure, why don’t they put the Regulations in abeyance today. Govts do that all the time. It can be done here and now. It can be done by the UGC itself. Doesn’t even have to go to the Parliament. Instead, you are trying to lead us up a garden path to some unknown destination yonder.
