Cease Fire

Theres an unspoken grief of watching murder from a screen.
Bodies buried under rubble on the land that the settlers will seize.
Sirens swirling with the screams,
mothers running frantic in the streets,
sickened with anxiety and grief
to see their little one be murdered by police.
We talk about dignity and peace
but oppressor says there’s pressure on their pocketbook to start and to fund another siege
We’re happy to repeat

To me it’s very obvious who the terrorist is
The ones with the guns who come to take with nothing to give

Because there was no desire to educate themselves further or need to know more about anything or a need for a credible source to be mouthpieces and have empathy for those who were harmed on Oct. 7th (*condemnation included*)…but then they’re watching all this destruction in real time (and I know they see it cause of their self-centered “I just can’t bare the violence from my mansion” posts) now it’s crickets? Now your voice doesn’t matter? Now you just feel so helpless? Also, none of the posts I saw mentioned praying for the innocent Israelis who were killed and taken..you were praying for the STATE! Imagine!! Having more empathy for a murderous government than the children it massacres while saying you’d do anything for innocent people..like stfu. Also awful to me: If you posted said message over the destruction of Gaza or over Palestinian children’s faces and pain..and then when held accountable, instead of extending empathy for those in those pictures you shared..you DOUBLE DOWN on standing with occupiers and don’t even APOLOGIZE FOR OR ACKNOWLEDGE your ignorance. YALL TRULY MAKE ME SICK. You are influencers of nothing but ignorance. It’s disgusting to watch so many of my peers use their platforms so harmfully and callously.
