@CompetitionProf What if two competing products are identically priced, but the prices reflect different things, eg in one case greater investment in industrial design and in the other better aftersales service?
@ipx_xala Thank you very much @ipx_xala it was great meeting you and other colleagues from around the globe at the superb @ATRIP_INT congress in Tokyo!
@eLAWnora@hutko Sure, but you pick up legal English fast enough on the job, and NL has excellent (and very intensive) English education in high school. Meanwhile younger people are finding it harder and harder to speak and write correct Dutch, which is still necessary in legal practice.

Italy is back in the news due to debates over the ECB and bond purchases. Unfortunately, there are again lots of distorted stories and statements around.
Here's a data-based summary thread that may help in debunking the claims about a "profligate, reform-lazy Italy". 🧵

Hopefully, today's decision (which tells DE courts to disregard settled domestic case law!) will make stays more common in merits proceedings to close the #injunctiongap, as I argue they should in a forthcoming article in @GrurInt!
I realize everyone's still processing Tuesday's decision on Art 17 DSM, but today the ECJ handed down another consequential ruling: Germany's PI regime requiring prior confirmation of patent validity by a court is *unallowable* under Enf. Dir.
The decisions seems entirely correct to me: as the ECJ writes, PIs would become devoid of purpose if patentee first needs to survive validity challenge in merits proceedings. But it will put further pressure on infringement courts.
