Wafaa Hamad. Over a year of suffering with critical injuries after her entire family was killed by her side. Israel had continously blocked her evacuation out of Gaza's destroyed hospitals. She passed away today to be a bird in jannah bithnillah.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) stated on X that pregnant women in Gaza “are starving, living in constant fear, and being forced to give birth in inhumane conditions.”

The organization highlighted that 1 in 3 pregnancies is classified as high-risk, while 1 in 5 babies is either born prematurely or underweight. Additionally, 40% of pregnant and breastfeeding women are suffering from severe malnutrition.

UNFPA stressed that this is not merely a health crisis, but rather a “death sentence” threatening the lives of mothers and their unborn children, amid the international community’s failure to halt the humanitarian collapse in the Gaza Strip.
