एक त खेल सुरु हुनुअघि र सकिएपछि हुने गतिविधि केहिपनि हेर्न पाइएको छैन । टेलिभिजनमा आफ्नो कार्यक्रम र विज्ञापन होला, तर ओटीटीले पनि खेलअघि विज्ञापन मात्र बजाएर खेलको कुनै गतिविधि देखाउँदैनन् । खेलपछि स्ट्रिम बन्द गर्न हतारो नै हुन्छ ।

खेल सकिएपछि खेलाडीले के भने र कसरी खुसी मनाए भनेर हेर्न सामाजिक संजालमा खोज्नुपर्छ । फिफाले विश्वभर दिने फिड नेपालमा पनि पक्कै दिन्छ । अझ यसपटक त प्राइम टिभीले सिधै फिफाबाट अधिकार खरिद गरेको छ, त्यसपछि मात्र अरु संस्थासम्म खरिद/विक्री गरिएको हो ।

हुन त विश्वकप अघि हरेक खेलको आफ्नै प्रि/पोस्ट म्याच हुन्छ भन्थे, तर अहिले त्यस्तो छैन । पहिलो खेलअघि चौथो खेलको कुरा हुन्छ, अनि चौथो खेल सकिएपछि पहिलो खेलको चर्चा । खेलको ३० मिनेट अघिसम्म पनि अनुमानित लाइनअपकै चर्चा हुन्छ भने खै के भन्ने । कार्यक्रमको स्तर र कन्टेन्टबारे धेरै नबोलौं होला, यसमा विज्ञापन दिने संस्थाले पनि आफ्नो नाम कहाँ जोडिएको छ भन्ने हेर्लान कि ?

अहिलेको अवस्थामा पैसा तिरेपछि निशुल्क हेर्न पाइने समयभन्दा बढी विज्ञापन हेर्नुपरेको छ । हो, व्यावसायिक रुपमा विज्ञापन र खेलको तालमेल मिल्नुपर्ने हो । तर दर्शकले खेल अघि/पछि पनि हेर्न नपाउने अनि पैसा पनि लिने चाहिं हुँदै भएन ।

प्राविधिक समस्या आउने कुरामा सुरुवाती दिनमा समस्या हुन्छ, केहि सुल्झिएका पनि छन् । तर अब खेल अघि बढ्दै जाँदा आफ्नो सर्भर र सिस्टम थप बलियो बनाउनै पर्छ । यसबाहेक आफ्नै नियन्त्रणमा भएको ब्रोडकास्ट कन्टेन्टलाई विज्ञापन मुखी होइन, खेललाई प्राथमिकतामा राख्नुपर्यो ।

मेरो आफ्नै अनुभव भन्दा, हाम्रो खेलकुदबाट आफैंले स्थानीय र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा प्रतियोगितामा काम गर्दा विज्ञापन भन्दा खेललाई प्राथमिकतामा राख्यौं । त्यसले आर्थिक रुपमा असर परेपनि दर्शकले सधैं प्रशंसा नै गर्नुभयो । अहिले त दर्शकले सुरुमै पैसा तिरिसकेको अवस्थामा विज्ञापनलाई प्राथमिकता राख्नुको तात्पर्य के हो ?

There are a lot of red flags about this deal:

• I have serious doubts about Alvarez as a lone striker in Arsenal’s system due to his physical limitations. He doesn’t provide much ground presence like Gyokeres neither does he provide any aerial presence like Havertz.

• He’s currently playing in a two-striker system that prioritizes his strengths at Atleti, yet he has still produced fewer goals than Gyökeres.

• Arsenal are not his priority destination.

• The £150m Atleti are demanding is a massive no. He simply isn’t worth that amount. Swapping £60m plus Gyökeres, who has produced better goalscoring numbers, is also a no.

Avoid this deal at all costs.

Julian Alvarez Update

If you remember, I stated there was another attacker I chose to keep anonymous. That player was indeed Julian Alvarez. The reason I said it was sensitive was because one of our players (Gyökeres) was potentially involved but let me just provide the facts for Arsenal fans. To my understanding the following statements are 100% factual.

• The players dream is Barca (personal terms agreed already)
• Barca have always wanted Julian to go public with his desire to force Atleti's position
• Atleti are adamant they will not to sell to Barca and would rather sell abroad but it wont stop Barca from trying
• PSG to my understanding left the race due to Campos / Enrique not wanting a player who doesn’t absolutely prioritise them but I wont be shocked if they return due to the players quality
• Julian has been a target for Arsenal since last summer
• After our group stage game Arteta made it clear we must atleast be in the race for the Argentine
• I can 100% confirm Atleti have interest in Viktor Gyökeres
• Andrea Berta has maintained contacts with the camp since last summer and has explored 'different structures & mechanisms' to bring Julian Alvarez to North London in the recent months…
• Reports about 'the English weather' being a reason Julian and his family would not return to England are absolutely false.
• The player would be very open to joining Arsenal and has directly told us should his dream to Barca become impossible
• Arsenal are yet to officially formalise their interest but Atleti are well aware of our interest.

The situation is chaotic but my role is to provide the absolute facts to the best of my knowledge in real time not predict the future.
