Out today...!
#onethousandshadesofgreen is my attempt to help bring out your inner botanist. Wild plants are much more than bed & breakfast to our fauna, & desperately need more champions. So why not take a moment out to enjoy the flowers at your feet?.. You won't regret it🌱💚
Not every evening you pop out after work and see 2 rare birds, one of which you'd never seen before! 😀
One was a Red Footed Falcon... the other was a big surprise... this distant Night Heron! 😍😀🐦
Do catch this if you have a moment. I report on storm petrels on Shetland, while with a stellar panel, we also put the world to rights about sensational seabirds 😁
Birders, we have an absolute treat for you @BBCRadio4 - @DilgerTV@helen_fwilson and Adam Nicolson on the cult of the puffin, how to out-think a greedy gull and the perfect summer night of Shetland bird-watching. https://t.co/0YRZ1yA0Mn

What a privilege this morning to see both Chatham Taiko (Magenta Petrel) and Chatham Island Petrel in the hand. Many thanks to Dave Boyle and team for their incredible work conserving and increasing the pop of both species, the former now stands at 50+ pairs globally! #Seabirds
Pigeons. Do you love them or hate them?
I’ll be chatting to Dr Annie Morrad on my show today (without pigeons on my head!)
The brilliant @DilgerTV will offer his view too.

Dear wildlife film-makers, does anyone have any high quality water vole footage they’ve shot which I can use for a conservation film I’m making for a conservation NGO in Somerset? I can pay something for the footage, which will be used in talks and on YouTube. Thanks!
@DilgerTV Good evening my friend. Any ideas what type of bird this is? He’s taken to using our bird feeder as a drive through and is nibbling gold finches, he’s a creature of habit as he comes every dinner time, for an hour or two. I hope you are well. Many thanks.
