Some men are laughed at for going home early, helping with the children and choosing quiet weekends with their wives. Eventually, they begin staying out longer, not because home became unhappy, but because their friends made commitment feel embarrassing.

While the boys applaud the “free man” he is becoming, his wife is slowly learning how to live without him.

Some men surround themselves with friends who encourage their drinking, cheating, reckless spending, and irresponsible decisions. They laugh together, cover for each other's mistakes, and call it brotherhood while their marriages, finances, and futures quietly fall apart.

The painful part is that the same friends who celebrated every foolish decision will suddenly become unavailable when the consequences arrive. Some men discover too late that the people who helped them destroy their lives were never planning to help them rebuild.
